(E34L to be specific) and I am not impressed. In fact I would say disappointed. I previously had Ruby BSTRs in my amp and they began to get noisy so I bought the JJs. I have biased them at 65, 70 and 60 mA and they still lack. The bass response is nice and tight, but the midrange focus has shifted to the lower side of the spectrum and they just don't sound as musical and chewy as the Rubys.
Should I expect the JJs to break in and the tone to blossom?
Are the Shuguang el34b the closest replacement for the Rubys?
Is anyone interested in buying some JJ e34L (probably not now that I have ran off at the mouth about them)? They have less than two hours of play time on them.
