Do you have a preference between these for boosting a JCM800?
I'm guessing the IPA can be a bit tighter, since it has a bass knob?
And how do they compare to an 808/SD1?

they are very different circuits from each other ..... I use my Schaffer with my 2204/JEL all the time .....

if I were to suggest something it would be the Schaffer .......

I love the headroom of the IPA though...... it's running at about 34 Volts ....

it really depends what you're trying to achieve I suppose .

the cool thing on the Schaffer is the limiter ....... you can smooth out some ice picks with it ....
