If I've never bonded with an el84 amp will I like a DS mini?

I've had/tried el84 amps that I couldn't dial in a usable (to me) tone. I'm a hobbiest/home player, and I like an amp capable of deep tones and a decent amount of gain. I'll play through a 2x12 closed back with V30s.

I think the DS Mini is a GREAT sounding amplifier, not just a great sounding mini head. It has a rich tone that is simply fantastic. I personally wouldn't recommend playing V30s, but instead G12H30s or Greenbacks or Creamback65s (probably your best bet).

I didn't either and I love the mini DS. TONS of tones and this thing will make a 2x12 thump.
