Is there a such thing as a true analog compressor pedal ..

Is there a such thing as a true analog compressor pedal and if so what would be something awesome for under/equal to $150.00?

I have been playing for 20+ years but am a pedal newbie.

I know someone who has a large body 2 knob Analogman Comprosser for $175.00. Not sure if analogman is true analog though.

These are all analog circuits? I am having a hard time verifying most pedals I have found. TC is coming out with a range of analog pedals and one is the Forcefield.

Any old pedal or a pedal designed in the 70s won't be digital so it's for sure analog. MXR or DOD come to mind...

I'm pretty sure those old Boss CS1-3 pedals are all analog.

I´m not sure you´ll even find a digital compressor pedal out there. It´s very much an analog effect unless you look in digital multi-fx pedals.

EDIT: Well, speaking of TC I see that their HyperGravity is digital. That´s probably the first one I´ve seen, though.

Sounds good. I think I am going to go with an mxr. It looks like they have a few other analog pedals also.
