Maple neck discoloring with age?

Hey guys, long time no post. Due to life circumstances, these guitars sat in their cases for about 6 years before seeing daylight again. I'm a little concerned with the discoloration that has occurred, I'm worried the necks have been damaged due to their environment. I took care of them before they went away, but I only have a vague idea of where they were stored. I have no problem with the look, and I don't see or feel/hear any problems, but I'm concerned something got damaged. Thanks for any help guys.

I have a strat where the maple neck (rosewood board) has continually gotten darker as time has gone on. It looks so much better in its current "warm" shade now than I did 25+ years ago when I got it. It's awesome.
