The brushed style with poles, Is the spacing very off looking? Does it even matter? Are the poles just dummy poles anyways?

the EMG Het Set has pole pieces...none of his guitars have a Floyd.
And what are we 13 year olds with pristine hearing that would be able to tell the difference IF there was any?
