OD2 or OD2r

Just wondering what the tonal differences are? I'm not playing with a band currently so am leaning toward the OD2r for the lower volume, but any insights anyone could provide would be useful.

It's about the power and the options you need. I'd email Alan about that question. I found the OD2r/OD3r more usable for me in smaller venue/recording situations. If you don't need the extra power the r's are really the cat's pajamas
