Whats up guys,

Posted this is HCAF with not many replies and since its down well everyones here.

Got a 5150 with a jfx-1 in the loop. Found out this aint a good idea and have got rid of it. Now i need some effects back in pedal form.

need maiden lead tones (delay/reverb) the most

looking at the DD-20, DD-3 and RV-3. Have only tried the DD-3 ages ago and im borrowing one from a shop today.

Anyone got any other suggestions to look at for a good reverb/delay?

Thanks!

Why is it a bad idea to use the JFX?

Hey man

ah.. i hear the 5150's loop is not designed for rack gear (thr power?) and its for pedals.

BUT i hear the G Major works well (lower power rating or something)

Doesnt the JFX have a -10 +4 setting?

I like the Boss DD-20 Giga delay. might get one of those cause it has a +4 line level option and it will work in my SLO loop

Hey man,

not sure if it has a -10 +4 setting? il have to check.

what does this do? Might try and find some info on it.

Does the Boss DD-20 have a reverb thing going on too? Most delays add reverb right?

cheers

No reverb in the Boss, but alot of different delays.

most rack pieces have a -10 or +4 selection.

Set at -10 it will work better in a pedal friendly amp loop.
At +4 it will work in an amp with a +4 line level loop, like an SLO.

what can i get with reveerb AND delay? would i even need reeverb with that pedal?

and secondly, i cant find anything in the 5150 manual about the power of there loop and i cant find anything in the jfx-1 manual about a -10 +4 switch??
