Rebel 30 combo - what is different about the footswitch?

I picked up a used Rebel 30 combo. I love the sounds out of this amp, but it came minus footswitch. As I understand it, the switch was standard from the factory, so someone either kept or lost it.
Anyway, I've had plenty of "footswitchless" amps over the years, and there are a lot of them that use a 2-button switch with a TRS connector. I tried the Marshall branded one I have, and it didn't do anything with the plug inserted fully. If I pull it out halfway, it will switch the reverb on and off, so I figure the Egnater must be wired backward from the switch, or something like that.

Does anybody know if they're doing something different?

I looked on eBay unsuccessfully for an Egnater branded switch. Sweetwater has one, but it's $69 (!!!), so I'll keep looking, or live without it.

Thanks.
