My son and I started working on recording last few nights. He's been playing for a year and a half now. He's crushing it on rhythms on all the Metallica albums up to the Black album, as well as a lot of Slayer and Pantera.
Decided to team up for the interlude harmonies on Metallica's One. Eventually we'll get the whole song, but for now just the harmony section.
Kemper - 2i2 - Reaper. No tweaks just plug and play with a drum backing track (he's learning drums on an inexpensive e-kit so eventually we can record that too).
The mix isn't anything pretty, but I'm happy with it.
