Smallbox versions / changes?

I'm looking at picking up a used Smallbox.
Seller's pics show 2 mini toggles on the front for "bright" and "channel".
The pics on the Friedman website don't have the toggles.
Just wondering what's up, and if the standard Smallbox has changed over the years. I know there was a change to Synergy caps at some point.
I have messaged the seller for the year or serial # of the amp, but don't have that info yet.
Thanks guys!!

Serial # is 11140113.
So is that November 2014?
I'm guessing this would still have the Mallory caps.
Now I'm also wondering if it has the hybrid pcb with the DC heaters?
I don't think the seller is going to pull the chassis for me for a gut shot.
Any info would be great, thanks!

Update: seller sent a gut shot!! Mallory caps, but hybrid pcb with DC heaters. Sweet!! I think I'm gonna grab it

As far as I know, all Small Boxes have the mini toggle switches. I have a 2014 and it is the best amp I have ever owned or played through. I think the newer Small Boxes might be smaller than the original head boxes.

Do the Mallory Cap do a big difference?
Mine was a 2018. It sounded nice, but there was a little something missing.

I guess I was expecting more or less a BE-100, since I had used that amp model extensively with my Helix LT.

Most people I have discussed the SB50 with prefer the synergy caps. YMMV
Aside from the cap change and the smaller head box, the amp is largely the same to my knowledge.
My fav of the Friedman line... simple rock machine!
