The popular choices seem to be Lemon Oil or Bore Oil. Ive previously been using Lemon, thinking of going over to Bore. Whats the inside scoop?

The real scoop is that it doesn't really matter all that much and you should use whatever you like best even though the marketing tells you otherwise.

Both make the wood look nice and feel a bit slick when applied.

I use bore oil...just remember to go easy with it, though. (A little goes a long way...) Most other stuff (like lemon oil) is actually naptha.

at www.ericsguitars.com you can buy a guitar polish kit that comes with polish, a microfiber cloth, and a bottle of the best fretboard oil I've ever tried. Don't know what it's made out of but the stuff is good!
