Torpedo Studio: Routing Line (stereo) input to S/PDIF (stereo) output

Hello,

I just acquired a Torpedo Studio (rack mount unit) and my current setup is such that I want to send a Helix Rack analog Line output into the Torpedo unit, and then use the digital Torpedo S/PDIF output into my sound card.

I'm unable to make that happen right now, so I was wondering if this is a limitation of the Torpedo Studio (analog I/O and digital I/O being mutually exclusive). Feels like I'm doing something wrong more than a limitation of the unit, but stranger things have happened.

Circling back on my own post to report that - surprise, surprise - this was user error. Essentially, the issue was with my patch bay being incorrectly wired.

So at least for the record I can report that I am routing a signal into the Torpedo Studio using the analog Line inputs and out through S/PDIF.
