I watched an interview with Dave Jerden and I took a lot of notes on how he recorded the guitars for the AiC records he worked on.

I tried to copy his method - 3 amps, blended and panned around within the stereo field.

One for 150~200Hz (Plexi), one for 300Hz ~ 6kHz (Bogner), and a Rockman practice amp for 6kHz and up.
