What tone can I expect from this wood combo?

I'm trying to finalize some specs for a Modern but I'm still unsure about some aspects. Is this a good combo?

Alder body
Flame maple top
Pau Ferro neck
Ebony board
Aldrich pickups
Recessed Gotoh Floyd

Will the maple top brighten up the tone significantly?

Also, how will the tone of the guitar change, if I were to go with a Roasted Maple neck instead of Pau Ferro?

Punchy and slappy
The Ebony will accentuate string and fret noise. Maybe a bit ice picky unless you are more of a high gain pull off type of player ala Holdsworth
In that case I would also choose a different body wood.
Also might be neck heavy. For my taste a Solid Pau Ferro works best on Koa bodies but if I really wanted one I would keep it Pau Ferro all the way.
They feel amazing, removing the ebony would sweeten it up
Maple Top wont do very much, maybe widen the tone a bit.

What if I went with a Roasted Maple neck and a Pau Ferro board?

Would this work better and not be so neck heavy?

And fwiw, I would like to stay away from a dark sounding guitar.
