Whats the craziest thing you've seen at a concert!!

so many...ok

New Years Evil - Sabbath, Slayer - very rowdy crowd already lighting fires in the rows at Bank One Ballpark in AZ. When Slayer came on, everyone got out of their seats and rushed the stage, security threw their hands like "nope". Thought it was going to riot

Pantera in a small club in Vegas on the Vulgar tour - Dimebag breaks the head off of his guitar, only held on by the strings and continues to play. I don't remember if there were locking nuts but he finished the song. Just remember he had SO much hair and had a giant razor blade necklace. Always smiling. Also saw Phil absolutely pull a "sig heil" in mesa during a concert and it was like "wtf did I just see?" I was pretty shocked cuz I love Phil

Sepultura on the BTR tour - Gloria takes my BTR poster onto the bus and returns with all four signatures in silver sharpie! Still one of my fav bands

Suicidal in same small Vegas club - Stood in front of Rocky who was playing thru a Triaxis with Boogie power amp setup and it is still one of the best live tones I've ever heard. And Rocky was a GOD that night. Amazing player. Crowd was a mix of some pretty scary looking dudes who I saw had razor blades in their hands while swinging in the pit. Scary AF

Met all of Metallica on the Justice tour sans Kirk - Larz said he was "disappointed" cuz I wasn't a girl (whatever dude). James was ultra cool, maybe a little shy actually, talked to me in a loading dock at UNLV while rocking a leather Justice tour jacket. Jason and I bonded over living in Phoenix and talked about the Burger King across from the old Mason Jar. He was still very new and acted more like a fan. Met James again on Black album tour with Fight, Suicidal, Candlebox at Sam Boyd stadium. He "sorta" remembered me :) Also remember Faith No More unsuccessfully trying to open for Met and getting absolutely heckled and booed off stage. I think they made it thru 4 songs. Met was at their prime

Got drunk with Slayer at Hard Rock in Vegas with Hanneman. Tom playfully tried to bite my face! haha all good dudes
Sorta friends with Holt who invited me to stand backstage in Phoenix with fire marshall cuz they had upside down crosses that spit fire. Hot as ballz. Good times

Slid down a snow covered hill in a rear wheel drive camaro with WAY too much power to make it to see a Scorpions show in Vegas. STILL the loudest show I've ever seen

Saw a VERY pregnant girl getting absolutely crushed against a cement barrier during Dr. Feelgood tour. Sad

Watched Babymetal in a parking lot with my newly pregnant sig other. Three TINY little girls walked out and the pit that erupted was one of the most violent i'd ever been in (maybe Flogging Molly was a close 2nd). Had to get her out of there quick

Same tour as Babymetal - Helmet walks out on stage and I'm very excited to see them and sig other says "who's the old guys?" Crushed :)

Manson - same tour as Babymetal and Helmet. Slurred his way thru 5 songs then abruptly imploded on stage. Sig other was crushed cuz she had super boner for Manson and I kept trying to tell her "See what I mean?"

Fear Factory and Static-X in a SMALL club - my friend gets all lit up and decides to go into the pit full bore and immediately gets bounced out of the pit, sliding backwards on his ass! Hilarious
I'm sure i'm forgetting some

This brings back memories of one of my crazy moments. 1977 I was at a Molly Hatchet/Nazareth show. I was 15 and on the floor at the show and a REAL cute girl comes up to me rubbing all over me and proceeded to ask me to “get it on” with her right there on the floor. I declined but told her I would be glad to leave the show. That wasn’t what she wanted to hear. So she made her way over to a group of guys down from me. A little later I looked over to see a guy behind her with his arms around her and her pants at her knees and kissing the guys on both sides of him.

Dang man , that's the one I decided to skip.

Aside from seeing some pretty bloody pits in the 90’s and early 00’s, I haven’t had much crazy shit from a ‘this probably sucks for them’ perspective. Had some really fucking cool ones, though!

Dream Theater when they were filming for Live Scenes From NY, that was the 2nd time they played Roseland on that tour and a bunch of us got there at 9am for both shows being total DT dorks, it was like a big family event for the 2nd show. One dude and I walked in the front doors like we were supposed to be there (we were like 18) and no one stopped us, we walked around the entire backstage area, dressing rooms, catering then hung out on the balcony to watch the techs line check. Walked out the back door in just enough time to meet the band coming off the bus. I didn’t own a DVD player when the DVD came out, it wasn’t until almost 2 years later I got to see the behind the scenes footage and I’m all over it. Really cool keepsake from a great show!

Being broke as fuck when meeting Sevendust before a show and Lajon refusing to allow me to miss the show, he put me and my ex on the guest list and then thanked us for coming after. Those guys are fucking great dudes.

After a G3 show (the Vai/Petrucci/Satch tour in 01) we were waiting by the busses after the show, busses take off and some other dudes find some road cones, run out and put them in front of a bus, bus driver has to stop and move them (dick move on the fans part) but as he was doing it, Satch comes down to the door and says “Hey guys, what are you up to?” with a hardcore porn vid playing right over his shoulder on the bus TV and him either laughing silently about it or completely unaware it was visible to us.

The coolest one I’m only partially involved in as I wasn’t even born yet, my dad was at the Floyd show at the Olympic Stadium where Waters spit on the audience member during the Animals tour. I’ve got one complete ticket and one stub from that show that he hung up in my grandparent’s garage. A friend of his had to bail after breaking a leg and fortunately dad kept the ticket. Fuckin $7.50 to see Floyd in the 70’s!

Good Stuff. Me and a couple of friends hardly ever bought tickets for shows in our area (No money) so when we would hear about the shows on the Radio we would plan to get to the venue hours maybe 8 before showtime and hang out at the back in hopes to meet the band or anyone that could get us in. Believe it or not we were successful most of the time

What blow me away, is how Ozzy let the quality of the musicians he plays with, go down hill.

I seen him in the 1980's withe great players like Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, Zakk Wylde, Rudy Sarzio, Bob Daisley, Phil Soussan, Mike Inez, Robert Trujillo,Tommy Aldridge, Randy Castillo and others.

When I seen him a few years ago, Zakk and Robert were carrying the drummer .... that guy belongs with Rob Zombie , the guy just didn't cut it with Ozzy's music.

2016 I think, watching Ministry play to a 90% full 1500+ Showbox Sodo that was sooo dead that you could hear a pin drop between songs. It was memorable only because I couldnt remember seeing that disconnected of a crowd.

I'm friends with Sin Q. I'm going to hit him up and see if he remembers that gig. He recently quit Ministry. He had enough....lol...

been to 150+ shows.
crazy stuff:
-Seeing a guy smoking crack right in front of me at a slayer show in the early 2000's at harpos in detroit.

-Lots of people getting their assed beat, faced bloodied, teeth knocked out in front of me at that place over the years.

-Cannibal Corpse 2001, harpos again. Plain clothed DPD officer (badge around his neck, gun in holster) throwing down hard in pit with the skin heads and whatnot.

-Dio 2001 Harpos agaaain. Dude just walking around the venue naked pretty much the whole night. no one did anything. was probably high on lsd from the looks of things.

-Pine knob sod fights. notably metallica 1998. had to watch my back for the first few songs in the pavillion because it was like raining these giant chunks of sod from the lawn. imagine looking behind you and seein what looks like 5,000 people under a nearly opaque cloud of flying grass and black dirt. a friend got so dirty with it, he caught a bacterial infection and had to spend the night in the hospital.

-Glen Benton of deicide threatening to kick my ass in front of the whole crowd at St Andrews hall in 2000 or 2001. its on you tube somewhere probably. I was filming the show with a camcorder from the front row, without permission. when his roadie pointed me out to him, he stopped the show, spot light on me, and he called me out  :D The whole crowd was looking at me, yelling "kick his asss gleeen!". i was like 17. i just stopped filming and walked out.
I saw some dudes huffing what I thought was either the hard crack or perhaps meth. It was ozzfest (probably around 97, i was young and had never seen people openly huffing the hard crack or meth, and felt an element of danger or alarm settle in, as if these guys might go berserk at any moment) in San Bernardino at glen helen. There were some truly unsightly specimens running about on all manner of intoxicants. One of them was quite literally, violently pelvic thrusting, and making a truly awful sound as he did it. He had an unsettling way about him and just smelled atrociously rank, there was an almost visible field of a hovering toxic miasma that lingered for a full minute after he passed and seemed to stick to people. If he passed close enough your eyes would start watering because his smell somehow made your eyes sting. I remember a friend saying, “duuuuuude, that guy is halfway to the grave man, he smells like a rotting body brooooo…. duuuuuuuuude.”

I was at shoreline amphitheater. I saw some madman climb one of those telephone like poles with the box on top (maybe for lighting guys?) right at the start of the lawn. I saw the lunatic start scaling the pole, and I became mesmerized. I knew it could only end badly, yet I could not take my eyes off the situation. The misfortune of others, right? So, he makes it up kind of high, but not too high, maybe like 35 feet or so. And beneath him is grass. So if he fell, he could possibly get injured. All the while, the dude is fist pumping and cheering the band, repeatedly screaming, “yeeaaahhhhhhh, yeeaahhhh!” I see a faction of giant security guards moving in a pack towards him. They arrive and start shouting at him to get down and of course this madman says, “FUUUUCK YOOOOUU,” while powerfully giving them the finger. This becomes too much for the security guards and they start picking up the nearest trash on the ground and start chucking stuff at him. One of them threw a half filled beer bottle at him and it hit him in the face. Instinctively he reached for his face and let go of his hold. Next thing you know he is ragdolling through the air and landed on his face. The security guards decided to whale on him for a while for good measure. Just because they felt like kicking ass I suppose?

Those two really stick out in my mind. But there are a few others that really shine through also.

Absolutely man, that was our whole trip during high school; getting to venues early to not just get front row but hoping to meet the bands before any other fans were even there. Little harder at the arenas but everywhere else was pretty easy. I used to live a 3 minute walk from the venue in Maine most bands played at in the 90’s, it was between our apartment and my high school, so I’d just ditch school and hang out in the parking lot all day.

Poor Steve Vai got bumrushed by a 16 year old, overenthusiastic RevDrucifer back in the day because I was restless from standing in front of Irving Plaza for 6 hours before a single other person showed up. :ROFLMAO:

The drunk ass friend I was with at a Metallica show falling over the upper level we were on to the level below us and the dudes he fell on proceeding to beat the living shit out of him.

To top it off the friends car broke down side of I95 driving home; coolant leak. We both pissed in the radiator to get that piece of shit Nova back home; happy ending to an otherwise fuckfest of an evening.

anyone gotten in a fight with a band member on stage or may have witnessed one? I have threatened a band members life on stage and of course I did not act on it. I have to admit over the years some of my bandmates have gotten me madder than anyone ever!

Saw a dude stabbed to death at a Ted Nugent concert in Houston.
Yikes! I was playing a small tavern once and two brothers got their throats slit. Luckily some bikers held them down and kept pressure on their wounds until a ambulance arrived and of course the police. They ended up being airlifted to the hospital. Both survived. The police would not let anyone leave until they interviewed you. Luckily they interviewed the band first. Still I didn’t get to leave the place until 6am
