write/copy help!

After 7 years of using my SE head i must use all channels for my new cover band,and i can't figure out how to save presets with Z-9.
for example if i save hi gain switch on,is active on all 4 channels

I use a Boss GT-100 which uses MIDI. Here is how I do it:

Fire up boss, get it to preset User 1. Go to amp, push all the buttons I want for that setting. Write/copy starts flashing. Press write/copy and hold. It flashes. Done.

Go to preset user 2, push all the buttons on amp I want for that setting... press write/copy and hold.

I think you can use the Z9 in MIDI mode right? Might need a power supply for that though.

How do you have the Z9 hooked up? If via Midi then it's as James describes. If not then I don't believe you can set the channels independently.

i have hooked up in S.A.C. mode,same problem with SE and Steve Morse head. is not working in midi port without power supply
In S.A.C. mode i can only switch channels?

I don't have any experience with SAC mode but here's an article that may help.

In terms of midi, there's a setting on the back of the SE that controls the phantom power. Try changing that and see if that solves the problem.

I had an SE with a Z9 and was always able to power it via midi.

yes i know about phantom power switch,maybe z-9 midi port is broken because is not working on two different Engl amps. I will get new z12 pedal.
