Now you may be opening this going this guy is nuts but yes, I do indeed want an AxeFX Ultra.

Not interested in other options at this time. I've had HD500X, Avid Eleven, Helix, Kemper and an XL+ in the past. A buddy of mine has an Ultra and it just does enough for what I am looking for... But I can't seem to get him to let go of it.

If you have one you are willing to let go CHEAP. Let me know please.

I think the GC one is perfect for anyone wanting to do the try-before-you-buy since you can return it if it's not for you.

Ultra is the best value AxeFx product you can buy right now in my opinion.

Dudes were selling their Diezels and Bogners back in 08' claiming the Ultra sounded just like the real deal and as good as a mic'd tube amp.

They're now very cheap vs the newer models.
 
Yeah I'm limiting myself at $500 shipped. I don't NEED one, I just want one. Nothing will replace my tube amps. I just want something for late night jam sessions in my studio. Unfortunately they started building houses around me so I can't really crank the full rig at 11:30pm when inspiration strikes me. Along with that, I like creating different strange sounds and I feel like the Ultra has just enough of what I like to play around with without getting overwhelming.


I keep checking on Reverb and GC. I've sent a bunch of offers on Reverb but everyone puts "Accepting Offers" then gets mad when you hit them with something only 50 lower than they are asking lol
 
$475 shipped is a good price for an Ultra.

I'll always keep mine since the Ultra has a different sound from the later units.

I own all of the Fractal units except for the FM3 and an FM9 (I sold my FM3 since I already had the AXE FX 3).
