Your signature axe...

a rather generic thread, let's consider it a follow up to the endorsement thread.

who would make your signature guitar, what would hte specs be?

bonus points to anyone who provides images, whether it's kisekae of photoshopped.

Just gimmie an RG1527. Do the following:

Air Norton/Blaze Bridge Pickups
Add a piezo
Be allowed to choose from any Ibanez color made

Bonus points would be one with an all maple neck. :)

My favorite guitars that I use all the time at present are
Gibson CS 356

Also a CS336

and my Duesenberg Ron Wood Ltd.

I have for the present put away my Cloud9 R9, but I am looking at possibly getting either a pink Telecaster or another Duesenberg in the next few months. But for now, I am quite happy, and so are the producers for which I play.

Of course these following are always used, but then that goes without saying. ;)

i swear to god, if pete gets that pirate guitar i will go to every show of his in the boston area just to scream YARR HERE BE PIRATES!! or something like that as loud as i fucking can until he takes one of his more "disposable" caparisons and impales me on the elf-shoe headstock :D

for me? why, i already have it. my ran, of course!

*guitierrez juggernaut body
*all mahogany
*ebony fretboard
*offset inlays on the bottom side (so, in the high strings)
*kramer-style "hockey stick" headstock
*no truss cover
*grover tuners
*les paul style bridge (tune-o-matic?)
*black hardware
*ultra-flat black finish
*no binding...anywhere
*1 pup (emg81)
*no knobs...guitar hard-wired to volume full and tone full (high?)
*2-way (on, off) kill switch (where a normal toggle switch would be)
*24 "jumbo" frets with double dot at the 12th and 24th

Hmm:

- C1-style body (all mahogany) in either white with a kick-ass japanese demon/dragon artwork on it which continues on the back of the body. or just Trans-black or some black quilt and white or black binding

- Caparison style headstock and neck with the same binding from the body, 24 frets, mahogany with ebony fretboard, no inlays

- Tonepros, string through body, all gold hardware

- 1 volume and 1 tone and a 5 way switch

- SD pickups (custom and '59)

Dean V

-mahogany body
-neck through
-mahogany neck
-ebony fretboard
-tune-o-matic w/ piezo
-string through (no metal peice where strings go through body like on most Deans)
-locking tuners
-creme binding on body/neck/headstock
-black hardware
-EMG85 bridge/EMG60 neck
-2 tone/ 2 volume

As stated in the other thread I would use this finish.

Also instead of having the output on the top of guitar, I'd put it coming out of the inside of one the lower leg of the V.

I also might just go with a Hamer '67 V clone with the same specs, except white(with wood grain still visible), and chrome hardware / stop bar.

On second thought...

I might just get a Ken Lawrence PRS Styled single cut in a normal scale with tune-o-matic and string through.

Same exact specs as the Dean above.

Although I love me some 'old school' styled V's.

PRS Custom 24 design, with:

-Royal purple finish, as with mine (you think it would look terrible, but it rules)
-3 way toggle switch w/coil tap, instead of the annoying 5-way dial
-Gold hardware
-No binding
-Bird inlays
-Smaller neck heel, as on pre-'95 models
-Floating trem system; I love theirs, but I'd want a little more cut out of the body to allow more "pulling up" room
-Either a PRS Dragon II or Dragon 2000 neck pup (the pickup system in a PRS is weird, otherwise I'd swap in a Seymour Duncan '59)
-PRS HFS treble pup, stock with C24s

Hmmm...

PRS CE-24
metal flake orange finish
stoptail, but not PRS style, Les Paul style
Rio Grande BBQ/Texas pickups
McCarty switching
Abalone star inlays with 3 stars at the 12th fret

Custom Caparison Dellinger

HEAD
Head Stock: Devil's Tail with “Dellinger Customâ€Â

hmmmm probably a Jackson...or whatever company endorsed me that could make it to my specs which would be!!!!

RR style or Dinky style body
neck-thru maple with Alder wings
my RR3 neck shape
compound radius (12-16 inch)
rosewood board
inlays...i dunno...maybe none? LOL
24 frets, Jumbo or XJumbo
25.5 inch scale
Floyd (either OFR or Schaller)
flame maple top or plain, depending on finish desired (transparents for maple, solid or whatever for non-maple)
EMGs or Duncan Distortion pickups
2 volumes, 3 way toggle

yea...pretty much that :)

Me too.
One of these days, you gotta give me the "welcoming" to the world of Caparisons, sucks to be in Canada for these types of things.

I guess this would be my signature model because these are what I just had built to my specs, and I have more coming just like them.

Hmm...maybe a Charvel.

San Dimas-style neck (I'd just get them to map the current one I have, and use it), maple with a light finish
Snow white basswood body, with just paint and no coats of poly/nitro/anything
22 Fret
Floyd
Not sure about pickups yet.
