Looking for a used but great Knaggs Steckel with SD Candy pickups. In Wisc for shipping purposes and can deal immediately if one is reached. Thanks and take care.

Best Knaggs along with the Steven’s by far. Huge regret letting mine go. Sounded incredible and played great. I have a Steven’s now. The Les Paul style bridge makes a big difference. I had a few Kenai and thought they were ok, but then got the steckel and was blown away.

Thanks man... I remember you commenting on your Knaggs a while back. Glad you still got the Stevens.... I would take one of those as well. Definitely holding out for the 2 piece bridge ala the Steckel or SSC model. \,,/

That bridge is mandatory, for me at least. It sounded and felt better. And the Candy pickups through a high gain amp are so tight and articulate, and they sound sooooo good!

Good to hear... Im a high gain, hard rock type guy. Currently playing my Les Paul R0 with wolfetone pups through my Naylor SD60... sometimes goosed with JRAD Archer out front. Killer tone. Want to grab the Knaggs and see if it dethrones my LP and becomes my #1 :)

The steckel dethroned mine, and my friends Les Pauls, and my friend has many high end Les Pauls,(a handful of R9’s, R8, and some 70s and 80s Les Pauls )and we thought the steckel with Candy pickups played and sounded better than all of his. He now has 2 steckels and a Steven’s and the Les Pauls don’t get much play time. Like me, he thought the Kenai were ok, but the Steckel and Steven’s were just awesome. My Steven’s has the BKP custom Steven’s, not the Rebel Yells but something more like the mules and they also sound epic.

But, it’s also just a matter of opinion and some people, I’m sure liked their Les Pauls better than the Steckel or Steven’s.
 
But you say after dethroning your LP you still went on to sell it. If you’re looking for the LP tone buy an LP.
