Helios and BE deluxe seem like odd choices for metal to me. Neither are all that aggressive considering the band we’re talking about.
Alta is a much better fit based on what I’ve heard it do so far.

Do you know if the settings in the pic are what he used for the show? That pretty close to how I set mine; except I back the bass off a little since I use a 15 in speaker.

There were a few comments asking what Jim thinks of the Alta, he wrote this to me the day after the Brisbane show.
"wish I’d have been able to use it for more than one show so far. It’s sounds VERY good. It kept me on my toes as well...the clarity of this amp is so genuine it’s almost unforgiving! Haha! It’s really a great amp. I’m looking forward to really getting to know it better."
and Jim's tech:
"It kept him on his toes because it’s so much more articulate than the other amps in his rack, but it sounded great and Bob loved it in the mix"
