What are some decent cheaper options for a re-amp box?

Also, what are you guys doing to re-amp? I'm currently using a Scarlett interface but it seems I need something to get the level and impedance coming off the DAW in the right place for the amp's input.
I'm thinking about getting the Radial JCR.

I use the JCR and it's decent. Just note that you'd need a TRS cable from the interface to the reamp box instead of guitar cable, otherwise you'd lose a few dB's.

I just picked up the new reamp box from Walrus Audio, works great. Just need to run a XLR out of your interface to the box, then out to the front of the amp. Has a couple useful features like an output control and a phase switch.

I think it's about half the price of the Radial, I'm sure that's also a very solid piece of gear.

That might be the ticket. It has a quarter inch in so you don’t have to use only the XLR.

Wouldn’t mind finding one where I can record with the amp and split off a dry signal like using a D.I. But where it can do the re-amping as well. Not sure the Walrus or the Radial can do that with no thru connections. Still might be cheaper to get the walrus and and inexpensive D.I.

More digging..ART and Joyo both offer D.I./reamping boxes for less than $100. The Joyo one is active.
I use the Joyo active DI box and it's perfect. My setup is Macbook -> Focusrite 18i20 -> XLR to Joyo -> 1/4 to amp. I can plug my guitar directly into my Focusrite and record DI while listening to the amp at the same time, or not, and the Joyo box has plenty of switches and options to avoid ground loops or any other noise sources, so it's very quiet. Note that in order for you to get the active benefits of the Joyo, it must be done via XLR, not TRS, because it's powered by 48V phantom power (just like a condenser microphone). I actually use it in passive mode mostly though and it's still great - and only 87 bucks on Amazon today since it's one of the prime deals (if you or someone you know has prime). I haven't used it standalone, since I use it as a method to record the DI of my guitar while also listening to the mic'd amp as a monitor for what I'm playing, live. Then if I need to adjust settings, I have both the DI and the mic'd recording on my computer in two separate tracks, so I can re-record whatever I played an infinite number of times to compare to the original. Probably overkill.

Long story short, highly recommend.

Just ordered the Joyo. I’ve had one of their analog delay pedals for quite a while and it crushes for its cost. Looking forward to seeing how this guy performs.

Fredenstein ramDI

I have been looking at on for a while, but haven't needed it yet.

I dig my signal art reamp more than the radial units I’ve had in the past.

If the Joyo is a bust the ART was the other choice. I’ve had some of their old school tube mic pre’s since the late 90’s. Too cheap to sell and just never got rid of them after 3 state moves and 7 house/apt moves.

I had a Radial X-Amp for years but switched to passive boxes because I didn't notice a big enough difference in sound. Now, since I've downsized from my expensive 16-channel setup, I just use an Axe I/O, which works perfectly fine and I don't need a bunch of extra gear.
