Yeah, I'm not looking forward to this shit again for a second time this week

Oh yeah. I'm a huge weather freak. I've considered over the course of my life to switch careers and go into metrology.

I'm like @japetus When the sirens go off is usually my indicator to go outside.

Speaking of which....

I am in Edwardsville right now, it looks like it's curling around and could miss...no sirens yet

Shit be brewing,.. It’s warmed up 30 degrees since 4:00 AM, it’s humid, the sky has cleared enough from early morning storms to start to destabilize things, there’s been a steady 20+ MPH wind all day (with gusts to 40). I think (hope) it will setup south of central IN, but it sure looks like it’s going to get bumpy. I like watching storms roll in but I’m not a fan of the nocturnal storm systems…
Yeah, not looking too good for our hero at the moment. Quite sick of fucking natural disasters and so called 1000 year floods at this point.

Tornado went right over the top of me about 4:00 and headed your way. Never touched down here. Never fear though, apparently we have 5 more days of baby jesus running a fucking train on our asses coming.

Shit hit the fan… The home where we live got slammed by straight line winds, but no damage and power is up. Almost couldn’t get to the “home office” house this morning. Major power lines and trees down blocking roads, etc. No noticeable damage but need to head back when the sun comes up…

We came out of it ok. Looks like the Ohio river valley did it's job again and took some power out of the storm.

Two days later and multiple roads still blocked with downed transmission lines. They’ve been working non-stop, but there’s a lot of cleanup to do. Nowhere near the same threat level, but storms - some rotating - are in the forecast for 10 PM to 3 AM. Then, 2-4 more inches of rain through Sunday. Mom Nature can lick my ass 😆
