I have as the title says a Splawn QuickRod 100 from 2014 and I have the chance of getting a Marshall 1960bv with Vintage 30's.
It's not the old UK-made but Made in China. The seller is located almost 5 hours drive away from me so I don't have the chance of trying it out before driving there. So I wonder if someone in here have tried that cab and/or speakers with a QuickRod 100? Pros and cons?

I'm thinking about replacing 2 of the speakers with 2 Greenback 55hz. Your input about this?

I have a 2019 QR 50W and I prefer it with either all Greenbacks (75hz) or a mix or GBs + V30s for a little more punch. I have a 1960a cab with T75s + V30s and the bottom end is just a little too much for me with that combination.

Are those V30's UK- or China-Made?

I don't have a lot of direct experience with that cab, but I personally would not drive that far for one. I do have a Mesa Trad 4x12 with the C30 version of V30s but much prefer the Splawn Smallblocks. I just think there are better speaker combinations.

2020 Quickrod owner. Using a bogner with greenie g12c on top v30 bottom. Sounds great to me….Don’t know if I would drive 5 hours for that cab unless they are giving it away price…

Here they usually goes for $750-850 and he's asking $550 brand new...only 2 months old. The retail price here is approximately $1000.
