Chinese James Tyler

Ed said that they are nice but I just can’t see that much for a Chinese guitar. Same thing with the Eastman brand. I think that’s the one. I’m not spending Gibson or prs money on a Chinese guitar…I should say used Gibson or prs money… lol
 
So I actually really like Tyler guitars. And I think some of the premium Chinese made guitars are nice (the MIC Warwick basses are great).

But these seem odd. Part of the allure of a Tyler is the price I think. So a budget line doesn't make any sense to me. If it's just another $1800 nice Strat, there are lots of those not made in China.

i've heard nothing but good things from the people that have played them. could be a big win for JT to expand their user base!

ya know, i do think the exclusivity plays a big part, it'll be interesting to see how these are perceived by the non-professional guitar playing community at large.

JT USA just never made a shit ton of guitars, so that has definitely kept resale value high. I'll be curious to see what, if any impact, these lower price point models have on the USA guitars.

Time will tell!
 
Sorry folks but bolt together Chinese Strat style guitars are Chinese bolt together Strat style guitars. Fuck that. Now have I played one? Nope…. Am I talking out my ass? Yup…. But it’s just my opinion. And I actually love the look of them btw…..
 
I am here to express my distrust of these guitars. I say if you want a high end Strat style guitar and don't want to spend your hard earned money on a luxurious Private Reserve PRS Silver Sky, then you should at least purchase a Zion. I mean, come on, have you no dignity?

I don't care to patronize the chinese but as a functional tool a guitar either plays nice and sounds acceptable or it doesn't. I would love to afford a USA ESP Viper but the price is out of my reach. Really at 2k this is also out of my reach and truthfully I'd probably buy another Edwards E-SA for a bit less if I had the cash.
