I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on this one! Before I do, I would like to hear others' opinions on this module before I do it. My main question is... can this do thrash metal tuned down to D standard and A standard? Thanks! Like what I hear in the demos but as we all know demos online vs in the room sound can vary.

I'm thinking it would do that no problem.. I have heard some knocks on the bass but in a mix, do you need all that bass? That's literally the bass's job. I haven't seen any for sale through Canadian dealers yet or I'd grab one. Seems like this will fill the gap I have for thrash tones though I could just boost an 800 with an SD-1. That's a tale as old as time.

Bass depends heavily on the power amp used. I use a 200w KT88 power amp, and it has a chunky low end with that power amp.

I'm running the synergy through a KSR PA 50 into an Orange PPC412. I have the Uberschall module, and I like it. Just want to try out another flavor and the Kail catches my interest.

I bought one on the day that they came out. Yes it will do what you want. I pretty much stay in E and Eb, but this module is built to handle drop tunings and stay tight.

The Killer Kali is a very versatile module, so much so that you can dial in a bad tone. It's not plug and play like most of the other modules but it will reward you by taking the time to dial it in.

The Uber has far more lower mids.

Yep. Just watched a comparison video last night that someone put together of the Uber vs Killer Kali. Too much talking but the general idea can be had. I actually prefer brighter tones with less low end so the Kali works better for me. The Uber did sound good too though!

This module can do what you want it to. It has quickly become one of my favorites for thrash type tones. I mostly play in standard tuning, but I definitely bring the heavies 😜. I’m using the Syn 50 head and bass is no problem.

I did change out the preamp tubes (as I have for every module). Really don’t care for JJ’s.

Its $2999
Well in that case ! Just kidding, I'll bet it's a hell of an amp! BTW, I just ordered an open box model from sweetwater! Should be here by the end of the week. I guess I'll find out what the difference is between this and my Uberschall module.

Cool. Thanks for the info! I have a few Mesa Mark amps, so I'm used to taking my time dialing in a tone I like.

Yeah, probably the same video I have seen. The Uber has more lower mids. And just has more of everything in general. The Kali seems more clear. It is probably closer to the Blue channel of the Uber.

I think it is probably closer to the BE- Dlx with an overdrive boost in front.

Looks like I can source one in Canada now.. I would want this for thrash tones obviously but would be cool if it can do hot Marshall tones as well to give that push without a pedal. I want it for cock rock too.

How 'Metal' it gets really depends a lot on the bright switches you use. It goes from standard Marshall type gain to mega cocked-wah based on those switches.

Saw the same video. Made me want the Uber even though I’m not a huge high gain fan.

I played the killer kali. In my opinion, the pitbull was the best module i tried, but the killer kali was good too
