Seriously? Have not noticed the loss of signal volume when the string is bent past the top of the pole piece? Or how your tone vibrates in and out of phase when pick the low E super hard? Or the minute differences between solid pole pieces and the ones that have the adjustment screw?

Yeah....me neither. All I know is a block of solid metal is far more "metal" than 6 tiny screws...therefore it must be better.

Why your title and name handicappe?

For seeing impair?

And somehow this demo sounds so much worse than the one Keith Merrow did with them a decade ago.

Yeah that totally makes me want these zzzz

Not sold on the rails, but I have used Duncan's with A8's quite a bit.

My favorite was an S-Deco Custom shop, with two rows of hex screws and an A8. Had just the right amount of drive, tightness, brightness and no weird/offensive mid frequencies.

To be honest, I did hear this with a Duncan Little '59 (with the tiny pole pieces) in the middle position of a Kramer SM-1, when making quite dramatic bends on the 12th fret or higher, as it would move the string more relative to the pickups.
Sold it and put a Dimarzio FT-1 (rail) pickup there.

But the rest you wrote...yeah, me neither. :p

Personally I’d want to try a Nazgûl / Jazz rail combo.

I have no need for an A8 JB rail but I’d buy it in a heartbeat to convert it over to ceramic magnet and make a Duncan distortion rail. That would be badass.

I buy one of those if you decide to do it.

Not alot of folks know what an S-Deco is, but it used to be listed on the Custom Shop site.

12k-ish 43awg wind, with a PAF-ish voice. I have had them with A2, A5 and A8 mags and they all sound great!

I like rails but I'd be reaching for that Bill Lawrence before SD rails unless I loved one of those pickups already in standard form.

I'm thinking about getting a seven-string Nazgul & Jazz to replace the black winters in one of my guitars. Should I go for it? The black winters are ok in my opinion, but these are lower output which I like.
