So I’m going to be the “Warren” in a RATT tribute. Looking to grab one of these for sure. If it actually gets “out of the cellar” and some shows get booked, then I’ll get another for a backup.

I believe these are MIM, so what upgrades are needed? Are the Floyd’s on these garbage?

Now… both can be had for ok’ish pricing used. I’m leaning toward the blood splatter.

Thoughts?

I'd go Blood Splatter mainly because for me a snakeskin guitar needs to be real skin

Snakeskin definitely!

1) it looks cool.
2) it has a neck pickup. Without it, you can't truly nail the 'War In D' intro of Shame Shame Shame, or half of his solos/in-between licks.

He’s got a hardtail bridge on the guitar in the Shame video , pretty cool . Another vote for the snakeskin

Either way - good luck and have fun.

Can't wait to see some videos

I'm a sucker for a humbucker/single so that's what I'd choose.

Snakeskin all day

Blood splatter like ESP’s would look better

I really do g the blood splatter too, and I’ll end up with both if this takes off.

What a fun gig !
I’m way stoked for it. Should be a lot of fun for sure.

What's the setlist going to be ?
This is what we’re going to start with. First rehearsal is on about 2 weeks.

Dance

Slip of the Lip

Body Talk

I Want a Woman

Lovin You's a Dirty Job

Round and Round

Lay it Down

You're in Love

Wanted Man

Way Cool Jr

Back for More

We’re going to end up doing almost everything from Out of the Cellar for sure.

Honestly, neither. I would just use whatever superstrat that you like best.

I’ve had the Snakeskin for 2 1/2 years. I love the Duncan 1/4 pounder at the neck. The Duncan RTM at the bridge is super hot. But, it has a nice eq to it. And the neck is just Charvel goodness.
Obviously, I’m saying go with the snakeskin one.

Start the show with the green, then close with the red

I was a huge Ratt fan in high school and still think their impact is overrated, especially the early stuff.

You guys should do "Sweet Cheater" "I'm Insane", and "You think You're Tough". Dumb question, are you going to dress up like them and do the stage moves, etc. That would be badass to have a full 80s experience.

are you going to dress up like them
In that case, he has it 'more easy', since it seemed that Warren DeMartini didn't go out all 'permed poodle and neon bright lip stick' most of the time as much as Crosby and Pearcy for instance.
You just need that Satchel/Vivian Campbell chin and jawline, a Jeff Beck wig and you're halfway there. 😉
