Queensryche

Queensryche opening for Metallica on AJFA album tour was my first concert back in 88, or whenever it was. They were cool and I appreciate them a lot more now (their early stuff), but the energy in that stadium while Queensryche played that stage was lights on, minimal people, what people were at their seats just talking hanging, and them just kind of doing their thing on stage.

When the stage went black, the intro to Blackened began, and Metallica wailed that opening riff, it was like the energy of a fucking hurricane in that stadium. I get goosebumps everytime I think of that moment and its an experience I'll never forget.

I’ve seen them a dozen times. Going all the way back to The Warning tour. I’ll be seeing them with Todd for the 4th time in 2 years next Sunday. If they come through your area and you don’t go see them? Sorry about your luck. Todd smokes Geoff now days. Not hating on Geoff but his best days are behind him.

I saw them on the Operation Mindcrime tour in 87 and 88.....great shows. I seen them on the Empire tour and later on after Degarmo left. They were still quite good live in 2000's even when they were playing smaller theaters.

I took the ex-wife to a local Harley Davidson dealer meet and greet( I can't remember which year, 2005-08) to meet Geoff Tate. I expected him to be a complete arsehole but he was actually quite approachable that day, very nice to the fans and he was quite chatty to everyone in line to meet him in person. He didn't rush anyone, my wife got up there and seemed to forget how to speak............:hys:.

Are you talking about when he was at Conrad’s Harley in Joliet?

Yeah, there was supposed to be a poker run after the meet and greet to ride with Tate and other band members but I had to go to work later that day so no bike ride for me.... I just took the wife to meet Tate. I guess Tate was Harley guy back then.

Don't tell me you were there as well?...............first the 1984 Ratt concert now this!!

I don't think you guys were playing yet............we met Tate and left right after as I had to get some sleep for work. Sorry I missed your show!

We really have to stop meeting in past events.....................................:hys:

Been a fan since the 1st EP. Seen them so many times, I can't count. My favorite is RAGE FOR ORDER .
Had tickets to see them a few months ago with Armored Saint opening for them. Armored Saint is one of my all-time favorite 80s band them and ACCEPT !
Armored had to cancel due to John Bush's vocal issue or cold I can't remember but we did not go. Bummer cause I've never seen Saint
