My band played on a bill with them about ten years ago, and while it wasn't the original lineup, we were still blown away by how great they sounded live.

Remember the fight? Geoff spitting on everyone? I know people fight and shit but spitting? Said the drummer Scott Rockingfeild got it the worst! Got soaked I heard.

Weird this popped up. I've been going back into another Queensryche kick. Been learning all of Operation Mindcrime rhythm. It's amazing how when you play just the guitar it can seem very basic. Add the bass, drums, etc and you realise how good the songwriting was. Amazing restraint in the rhythm playing too. Masterclass.

I was very impressed with how woody and natural their guitars sounded live when they opened for Metallica on Justice. Actually every instrument sounded great.
