They’re blowing out a few brand new Luxxtones at a dealer here in Japan.

This is $2260 shipped

I wonder if it plays as well as the Vigier.
I dig the look.
You've told me Luxxtone does the best fretwork you've ever experienced.
The price is great.
Worse case, you dont love it, and you may take a hit on resell.
Flip side, you get a boner every time you walk into the room and see it in the stand, beckoning you to play it. You take it for long walks on the beach. You get a Pignose and a fedora and learn this:

If I could ever talk myself into a Telecaster I'd say yes. But I have a hard enough time talking myself into a lawsuit Jap LP......
I was tele-skeptical for many years, but after playing some really nice ones, and figuring out the make-or-break specs on them, I've been converted.

Honestly my experience of not being into them was based on the mostly modern, heavy, mia or mim fenders that you would pick up in a music store.

After playing some really nice vintage ones, an echo park, an 80s Tom Anderson, I was able to make Partscaster teles that check every box I need a non humbucker guitar to cover - I own ZERO strats or strat shaped objects now

Wow, what an overpirced hunk of shit.

2200 bucks for a tele with a shitty lake placid blue paint job and some geeky ass pickup at the bridge, ugly as hell pickguard, and a dumb looking headstock combo? Waste of damn money and it's pretty fugly. How many guitars you need? Why don't you go play the junk collection you got already? How many times you picked up that Edwards LP? Same one I been dinging up playing every day as my couch guitar. I'm gonna turn mine into a worthless toothpick if I got anything to say about it. Pretty sure I could buy some Fender and Warmoth parts and get it real nice for about 600 or 800 bucks less. I have suspected you don't like me much already since you never respond to my posts so I figured I'd be the dick that shot your idea down since it aint' gonna change our relationship haha. Regardless, hope you are well this morning or whatever it is in guitar paradise Japan. Wish I could run those racks for another nice Edwards E-SA. Maybe I'm just jelly, lol

It's gotta be Superstrats for me....I have played some nice Teles but it's still a comfort thing for me...anything other than a SS is just, well, not right. My great sounding/playing Jap LP just sits in a corner pouting for months before I finally pick her up.

I'm the exact opposite, of course

I feel bad for your lp

When you record something tho, you'll play it 😂

The relic job looks goofy.
The wear on the pickguard doesn't match the wear on the upper bout. And for how much wear the face is showing the back should be way more trashed than it is. Whoever built it probably eats dinner at like 7:15 cause that's way off money.

Dude! I’ve have the Vigier for 3 months now and it’s still in perfect tune and I’ve played it at least 10-15 times and the humidity changes from 50-70 several times per weak. Don’t need no stinking truss rods.
