MB should've added a "++" mode like the "shred" mode on the JP2C.

Also I'm very skeptical to say the least that it will stand-up to any of my 3 OG 1984 MKIIC++s.
As a matter of fact... I'm doubtful it will sound as good as any of the of the MKIII++s I have either.

I also hope the there is a Triple Recto Reissue... just not the Dual.

... just sayin...
3? Can I have 1? 🥹😁

I was gonna order one and then I realized what's the point? This sounds great even with worn Sylvania STR-387's.

I have a lot of NOS Sylvania 387's, 415's and 416's but why use them when the "worn" ones still sound good.

I bought a bunch of matched quads years ago from Mesa when the were cheap.
Same, Always save the NOS and burn the used ones👍

I’d love to see someone compare them in person on video blindfolded and call out the real deal. Throw any confirmation bias out the window. Whether people admit it or not they have it with these old amps.

I'd be interested to hear & possibly play one, but little to no chance of actually buying.

I can’t promise I won’t buy one but honestly have no desire only because it’s inevitable the owners of the OG units will no doubt ruin it for the rest and insist that they are inferior and sound nothing alike, which will cause doubt to those who haven’t played an original and leave you still questioning.

So fucking stupid how we rely or count on others for validation. If the fucking piece sounds good, IT IS GOOD!

The thing is, if it is spec'd just like the original, with the same component values, I don't see how it can sound or feel THAT much different than an original.

I had a chat with a good friend who is an electrical engineer and he always gets a good chuckle out of the whole "these capacitors and resistors from the 19__'s add a special magic that can never be replicated!" If they are spec'd the same....they will do the same thing in an amp. Same with transformers. He thinks Mesa not being able to re-create the 2C+ transformers as nonsense. Steve Fryette has said that as well.

I am seriously considering giving one a go; love my MarkIV and loved the HRG 2C+ I played, so I am betting this will rip!

I might buy one just to shoot it out. I’ll do it blindfolded and probably get shit wrong lol.

I want one to put up against all of my Marks and see how close it is because honestly all of mine can get very close to each other barring a modern sheen to my IV and JP2C
