I have no clue what any of this means lol

Haha, you pay full price for stuff? Black Friday deals have started. New stuff is being sold for cheaper, this is a good time to buy stuff.

From some accounts I've read, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are even cheaper than Christmas sales.

The logic is that by Christmas, everyone has purged their wallets by buying gifts for everyone else.

Hence, in the true spirt of the holidays and crass commercialism, they started the sale a whole month ago with Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

It's not Black Friday yet. It's only Tuesday.

Sales have already started though. I doubt companies like UAD and Neural DSP will go any cheaper.

Online also has been, and remains, the best place to score deals. They don't have to pay for retail space, and inventory management is greatly simplified, since you can do just-on-time delivery.

It'll also help you avoid getting trampled on during the actual Black Friday beat downs at physical stores.

I always liked this one.

waiting for the crazy deals thread to blow up. :poke:

Since I was only shopping for software, I figured that the prices couldn't get lower than 50% off.

A few other times for good deals is the week after Christmas when people are returning gifts to the stores, they want you to spend that refund back with them so there will often be good sales. Also, at least here in the US, tax season can often have good deals on non essentials, hobbies, and vehicles. Fiscal year end periods can also hold bargains as companies look to maximize their write offs, even through purposeful losses for tax purposes.

Purchased a new Catalin Bread Talisman reverb.

Two sets of 9's.
Figured Id give them a try, my hands have been bothering me.

You could also try 9.5 too if you find 9s too slinky, but acceptable to your hands. Stay within your normal brand if possible because not every manufacture/model of strings has the same tension and some 9s actually have more than other's 10s.

Of course they have. Companys wish Black Fiday sales could last all year. Hell, the Home Depot has a Black Friday for spring to sell yard equipment. In the end though, buying something because it's a sweet deal just means you're getting exploited. The only way to truly save money is not to fucking spend it in the first place.

...Unless Pedaltrain is having any deals. I do need a bigger pedalboard.

I picked up a brand new Charvel So Cal for less than most are used. I'll have pics in the Classifieds next week. 🤪

Too funny, I couldn't decide between Barbie and Ninja Turtle, so...
