My love surprised me with this Kramer Baretta that was waiting for me when we got back home from vacation. Funny, because I have been on the hunt forever for a "Lisa Frank-like 80s" guitar and personally always thought most animal print guitars were cheap looking, but this is actually perfect because it's not trying to look real and aligns with the colorful school supplies and posters that I have loved since I was little.
I def like the way the top mounted trem feels a bit better over my Charvel SoCal models, tbh. But feel like those would be better if I just bent the arms down a bit. The only downfall is it was supposed to have a D-tuna, but is nowhere to be found in the box or case. It feels too nice of a player to care enough to return it over that and gamble getting a bad one. Another interesting thing is it has no manufacturer country of origin on it or the box and I see conflicting MIJ vs MII on different sites. So, not sure if that's a year thing or not. The pickup is a zebra JB with push/pull coil split.
It's also only one of a few NGDs I returned home to.
I am drowning.
Yeesh, but also not yeesh...
