I just saw this video was released today and I'm interested in everyone's thoughts. I definitely hear more low mids in the VH2 and high mids in the VH4. The bass knob may be up a bit high for my liking on the VH2 as well. I've only ever played my VH2, and I'm wondering if I can dial in that snarl he keeps mentioning on the pick attack of the VH4.

Vh2 is great . Sounds better when quiet .
But the vh4 when louder just punches the shit out of the vh2 and does found better . I thought vh2 was better at first , but it’s not . The punch was a lot less . But quiet it’s super easy to get a good sound out of vh2 which is hard on vh4 imo

I was digging those crunch tones.

Dammit, I want a diezel, but I want it for crunch and not for drop C Thuggery.

I'm curious if the VH2 is actually closer to the Hagen than the VH4, seeing as they are both considered more of a "modern" take... There seems to be some similarities when watching these comparisons, as well as the aforementioned from Sonic Drive Studio:

I agree with this. The feel of the VH2 when I had one seemed closer to how my Hagen is, and less immediate than when I had a VH4, maybe in the middle. Tried almost every sort of EQ/Gain combination and just could not get Ch.2 of the VH2 to respond like a VH4. Tonally I'd say it's also kind of in the middle, too. Not bad in any way, just different. The VH2 and VH4 should be viewed more as separate amps, rather than trying to get a VH2 to be a VH4.

I had the Fokker (precursor of VH2) and it was a fine amp, but I found it a bit too warm, soft sounding. VH4 sounds harsher, which I like. But it really depends on the music.
For leads and fusion, the VH2 might be even a bit better.

Tech, what do you think of these channel 2 tones

In the odd man here though would like to hear this with gain lowered
