    Reconsidering the Wizard Hell Razor

There were only a few Hell Razors that went out without the updates per Rick. Anything from 2023 has the updates

My guitar center shipping luck ran out today

Assholes. On another note. Headshell is ok. I would open it up and take a look. That chassis bolt might not be a big deal, although chassis might be bent. No sound- could be a tube. Those amps do not use good support legs on the trannys, at lest they didn't in the initial run. Mine was bent a...

My wife told me ive had 2 purchases in the last month ....

She used to call them my Mistresses. One day some years back, I got caught walking in with a new amp. I said Honey can you hold the door for me. The amp badge was facing out. She looked at it and said "They fucking have names now"! It was a Carol Ann lol

$426.50 for biasing new power tubes, replacing a preamp tube, and straightening out the transformer

Sometimes you have to remove or loosen the bolts on the transformer to bend it straight, especially if it has mounts. If its under the board its a pain in the ass because you have to lift the board on some amps to get at the bolts. That does sound high if he didn't replace your tubes.

Do I sell my Wizard or take Boss to small claims court?

You might want to lower that because the fuse is not doing it's job, which is to protect your transformer. 10 amp is way to high. If you have a tube voltage arc you will blow a transformer rather than the fuse. It happened to my Wizard. You are free of course to think what you wish. It's your...

Lowering the value of those caps does not affect the stock tone one bit. The added circuitry is only in the circuit with the pot pulled. With the pot in all added circuitry is completely bypassed. Mine has a huge tight bass with my bass pot at 11:00.

One of my favorite mods. I owned two of them and cloned one into an 89 JCM800 with a few tweaks and its an awesome amp. They go from clean to mean with little volume drop because of where the circuit is placed after the stock gain stages before the cathode follower. I even constructed the same...

Did I just fry my tubes?

Yes, The OT sees four tubes as two pairs. Two primary leads come from your OT, one to each inner power tube socket. The outer tubes are connected to the inner tubes. Make sure to take a reading on your screen resistor for that tube that popped. You may have an open or dead resistor in that spot.
