I prefer the 6L over the El34 MTL's I owned. The rhythm channel really shines also and cleans up great with the 6L6's.

The CCV is it's own thing and uses clippers for its distortion. Yes A Wizard uses LED's but not in the same manner the CCV does for distortion. Diode clipping has a specific feel and tone that I hear and feel in the CCV when I owned mine. The Wizard does not have the same feel or gain...

If its not tubes he will need a tech. Engl's are tough to work on and the solder traces are easy to ruin. The small plastic PCB mounted pots are easy to ruin also.

Those both look killer Brent. You should have an HT fuse installed on your Heritage. Mine blew an OT. There's no HT fuse in that amp, at least in mine there was not.
