Yep. I have a '61 Reissue, and it's the bomb. Never considered changing the pickups either. It'll get downright nasty and does everything a good Gibson should. It was perfect out of the box, (aside from setting up to my taste). Can't go wrong with the real deal.
The red springs are shorter, so they would indeed work better. I had a similar issue recently.. Just going from .009's to .010's required screwing the claw screws in way more than I cared for, and went with the red shorter HD springs. Problem solved. Going forward, that's the one I'll go with as...
Man, that white reverse headstock up on the top left is pure sex. That's more what I want. I'm going for a Hank Sherman vibe, and I'm seeing the reverse headstock models have that more aggressive look for some reason. Was wondering about a Hendrix MIM as a mod platform. Like the vibe, and throw...

Some really say there's some hidden gems in the MIM's. I had a Vintera 70's Tele, and I had no complaints about it. Quality was great, fit & finish spot-on.
Those new Ultras are SICK. Even Ola demo'd one.. This one is REALLY sick..
Nothing yet.. Kicking around a few. The Pro II's can be had at great prices, but I don't like that 3 screw humbucker set-up that needs a pick pickguard change. Thinking about an SSS version and a JB Jr in the bridge.
That's what I'm looking at in the "Dark Knight" color. I'm thinking go all in on USA or Japan. I don't wanna fool with MIM really. I already have a TB-5 on standby for the bridge.
$800-$1200 Maybe? I was watching a nice looking Player II HSS Strat, and the seller sent me an offer for a brand new one for $697. That's a pretty good deal, but I suspect the pickups are shit, but at that price, maybe it's worth it as an upgrade platform.
I had a 70's Vintera Tele - The...
