I can't get into these amps. The gain level on the red channel is absurd. I've done all the tricks, (never owned a 100 watt, just 50 watt 6L6, and 50 Stealth). I prefer the Stealth by a mile, but the red chqnnel gain is ridiculous on all of them. Loved the Stealth blue with a boost. Killer channel.

Go V4 &V5 then for red. V1 would effect green and blue, yes. As mentioned above, V1 & V4 would tame red a bit more. For strictly red, I'd go V4 & V5.

It's modded for more gain.

5751 in V3 & V4. See where that gets you.

EH 12AX7 Dark? They're about the brightest, grainy tubes out there! Goes to show we all hear things different. Tungsols are nowhere as bright as an EH. The Tungsols are bright, but not like an EH. No way.

New production. I love them in V1 of just about anything!

I always go Tungsol in V1, JJ's, and a Sovtek LPS in the PI.

I pulled the trigger on the AM PRO II. It's already modded for HH, and has a Jazz/JB. I'll probably ditch the tortoise shell pickguard for a black pearl and black knobs. Probably change the JB for a TB-5. Who knows. If the JB sounds good, I'll leave it.. Has upgraded locking tuners as well.

I have a regular and a mini Sonic Stomp. The key is moderation. You get crazy = shit. Moderate settings, they sound pretty good in the loop. Good clarity and punch. I keep the bass super low and the highs well below noon.
