The ENGL SE is a great amp. But tone wise it’s totally different. Yeah, money is the only reason why I don’t have a Wizard. They are worth it tho.

If I remember correctly, you had the EVH 6L6 Stealth? Is it modern and compressed like the red channel?

Since you had previous versions, what’s so different about the ultra tone wise? I’m curious cause I have a Rev 2 and a Rev Blue, also waiting for mine to show up.

I use to sell tubes locally and was using these units to test my tubes. If you are willing to spend that much for them is up to you.

When I asked, I was told that the Uber Ultra that has the different transformers is the 6L6 version. Not the (HPV) 150W with KT88.🤷‍♂️

I just hope I didn’t made a mistake by ordering the High Plate Voltage KT88 version of the Uber Ultra instead of the EL34.

Yes, the Rev 2 have a 3D tone that’s special. But it’s not night and day like some might say. If I had to choose one or the other. I would choose the Rev 2 over the Blue, for the same reasons you just mentioned. I’ve never tried a Twin Jet tho.

Having a Rev 2 and Rev Blue, they are a bit different. But it’s a taste thing, I like both.

I also order mine (KT88) from the Axe Palace in February. No news yet…
