Here's the Marshall with mids:I'd dial back the mids on the Marshall, raise the treble a tad, because now it sounds too 'gurgly'.
The Bogner has its own issues going on, but overall tonally it sounds more balanced, albeit on the boomy side. But the compression is too much, I agree.
I like my amps a helluva lot tighter.
I did mess with. That's just one Snap-Shot of a quadrillion possible sounds that come out of the Bogner. Each with the same signature-voicing though. The compression talk is more about the feel.I’d mess with the metamorph knob more and the doom, focus, bright switch more on your Uber. The Uber ultra can literally get as tight or loose as you want it with those controls.
I kind of laugh about the compression talk… cool in the room to feel less of it, but when stuff is mixed down dynamics from guitars pretty much go out the window in metal music especially in all major mixes these days. Also, compression isn’t tightness, but dynamic range.
That all being said for the song being played I think the Uber fits it way more. But that’s just me.
I am still patiently waiting on my EL-34 Uber Ultra up in Canada. Going on 9 months, but it seems like a compendium of Uberschall in a box that really can get as dark/bright or tight/fat as you want.I’d mess with the metamorph knob more and the doom, focus, bright switch more on your Uber. As indicated by the period, I wrote two separate sentences. One about compression and the other, as a general statement about the Bogner, that I like my amps tighter. Also, compression isn’t tightness, but dynamic range.
Perhaps you should go suck a big ole bag of dicks.Perhaps I should 'laugh' at the lack of comprehensive reading skills of some here. ;-)

As for the compression: I mean, if your signal chain is an ESP with hot pickups in to a boost in to the Uber or Ultra channel of that amp....ya, it is going to be Hella compressed.
but it's different than the previous Versions.like a compendium of "modern" Uberschall
Thanks.I should add your tone sounds killer in your demo! Hopefully you find the setting with the Uber to get the feel you are after. Seems like an amp with multiple "sweetspots" that may take some tweaking.

DUDEPerhaps you should go suck a big ole bag of dicks.
I get that!Case in point, my Engl Savage 60; quite compressed, but tight as a nun's arse.
Since you had previous versions, what’s so different about the ultra tone wise?Yes,
but it's different than the previous Versions.
I had an Original, Rev Blue and a Twin Jet before.
I think the Rev Blue is my favorite.
I did not use a boost with the Über. It's straight in. Had the built in boost on in the Über Channel.
Lot's of "I", but what can i do?
Yes. And No. The Stealth is a lot flatter. But it's been a while since i had one.If I remember correctly, you had the EVH 6L6 Stealth? Is it modern and compressed like the red channel?
Perhaps you should go suck a big ole bag of dicks.
Because of these noise issues of UU, I always hesitate to order one. I hope Reinhold solve this. The Über-Ultra is REALLY extreme.
Up to a point, where the noise is almost as loud as the guitar, in Ultra-Mode with the gain cranked and the internal gain boost engaged.
I just tried it, cause i either heard or read it and i wanted to give it a try aka check it out.
Uncontrollable feedback is also an issue, after a certain point, gain-wise.
