Try cleaning the sockets, jacks and pots. Sometimes there are connectors jumping from board to board that can also have some corrosion. Not sure if that one does. Been a long time.
Has the amp set unused for awhile? Usually those fx loop jacks act up, sounds like something else this time. Might try reseating the power and PI tubes. Could be corrosion at the tube pins.
Just thinking of easy stuff to try first.
So you had a failed tube or tubes…new set of tubes and back in buisness. My PS-2 just ate a power tube a few weeks ago. Tubes are at a not very good quality time period.
Most of mine are rear routed and float. Also have an Anderson and Ibanez with two point traditional trems that are set up to float. They don’t seem to have any issues with sustain.
I have all kinds of setups trem and hardtail, doesn’t matter much to me.
Learned the whole Virgin Killers album at one point. Catch Your Train is just awesome…Polar Nights, Crying Days etc…no wonder I never thought Eddie was very good.
No I just stack them on top of each other normally. The are both semi open back, so they fill the room more instead of being so directional like a closed back cab. Also easier for bandmates to hear me.
