I can see if the pedal is true bypass then maybe it's a mechanism to avoid the switch pop that at times happens with true bypass pedals. However you did mention the pedal is buffered.
Interesting to see lots of Peterson tuners users. I always thought them to be the type of tuner that's more means to be on a Tech's bench due to their accuracy for intonation & setups.
Thanks Rex. I guess once it's tuned then it's all good... Maybe I'll have to find one used to buy and try out.
Any experience with the Polytune 2? I know it's not buffered, but I guess more in the sense of tuning and accuracy.
Sounds great. With EMGs or Active pickups you don't need a buffer at the start of the chain... If you like the tone/sound you're getting now then don't add a buffer anywhere.
If you want to experiment with it then add a buffer to the end of pedal signal chain as the last pedal before the cable...
Send the Folkes at Guptech pedals a shout. They'll probably be able to build you a pedal like that at a decent cost.
I've had them build a custom pedal in the past (Boost, gate, delay) and it was awesome.
Good luck
did a quick looking.. the ST300 is Truebypass.. the ZW Wah is not True Bypass. It may be moddable to True Bypass. Does your budget allow for a buffer ? any other pedals on the board?
Tuner usually first cause you want a nice clean signal.. however, I've encountered some Wahs that suck tone. so if your tuner has a buffer built in, put it after. Itll help rejuvenate the signal and bring some high-end back into your signal.
