IME it depends on the room, the guitar & the cab. My gig setup is fairly static so going from rehearsal to a show just the room changes, and I find that I only tweak 80hz and 6600 for the room. I can see setting your presence based on if you want the top end more smooth or more raw though, then...
C+ vs Mark Five 35, which is my favorite tonally of all the Fives.
C+ vs V 90, just a darker amp. Big balls though.
..and for funsies, the final song on the album with the Chiron boosted IIC+
And for the softest attack Mark ever made, the VII.
..and unboosted. IOW "normal" C+ high gain.

Well, here's a history lesson while we wait.
IIC+ vs JP2C close mic
IIC+ vs JP2C in the room
For funsies, the final song on the album with the Chiron boosted IIC+
Bonus round from back before Youtubers were cool.
I mentioned this in the FB thread but I'll say it here as well..
"We are supremely confident in these new amps, and we welcome anyone to try a direct comparison to an original"
Give them my number too! haha I'll do a reamped full mix demo of high gain songs the day after I get my hands on...
I really couldn't get the Schaeffer to do on the mic what it does in the room. In the room, for mid gain stuff, the Schaffer really kicks up the bigness / openness / organicness. Pretty awesome in the band!
The Chiron really likes the mic though. Our whole album is the C+ boosted by the Chiron.
The easiest to dial in is the Mark VII. (even though it's not my favorite, this is true.)
The best at low volume is the JP2C, with a solid nod to the Five 35 on 25W mode.
It's not modded, that's standard issue on IIB Colis. They are legitimately unusably loud for most people. Fortunatley I live in the country!
The IIC+ Coli is FAR more polite with its limit knob.
The III Colis are a different power section & a step down in authority from the IIs.
Hey now, *a 4 tube Mark. My IIB+ Coli with no negative feedback will crush any Triple, and probably most any amp out there. AND be tight AF. Ask @Beyond Black.
FWIW I've been through a tremendous number of amps, cabs & guitars, looking for combinations that excel. While most of them are good, some setups are duds and a few of them are amazing. I get a kick out off guys who listen to a finished tone and try & say that one component of that signal chain...
I wouldn't worry about that. After the video he put out saying the C+, JP & VII are close enough he couldn't tell a difference I knew that it's true he makes all amps sound the same.
Yeah we'll see what my salesperson has to say about it. I suspect it got pulled out from under me for someone else.
Maybe I'll be patient? Depends on the answer.
