maybe this was all a psy op to promote the VII or to encourage an internet demo hero to leap at the opportunity to save the day and “show them…”

if nothing else, this thread has been entertaining -like hanging out drinking beers with the fellas ripping on weird people as they walk in!

gotta say-the chubby bearded lady and Rachel hairdo comments cracked me up🤣

Just got the Reissue today, it does not have quite the same amount of liquid gain as a Mark IV, its a l bit less, boosted its great! It did take me a minute to dial in how i like it. The Master 1 volume does effect your lead master/gain. I have never play a real IIc+ but this seems pretty killer. I will try and do a quality recording in a few days, some of my studio gear is setup for a session this weekend

The easiest to dial in is the Mark VII. (even though it's not my favorite, this is true.)

The best at low volume is the JP2C, with a solid nod to the Five 35 on 25W mode.

If they are using real cabs for these demos, they're likely using brand new speakers, where speakers are arguably more important than the amp.

To me, the JP2C was the worst at low volume.
 
I sent my first JP2C back because I thought there was something wrong with it, they Said it was fine. I sold it shortly later within 3 months. Gave it a year or two and Got another and repeated my same process I did before, Buy JP2c sell the mark iv, then have regret and sold the JP2C, I did this twice like a idiot.
 
I got just got mine, i think its awesome. Was a bit hard to figure out the controls but set them to the Flemming Rassmusen battery settings and its pretty close but no way im putting the volume on 5 though. Only have a 16 ohm cab with greenbacks and it doesnt have a 16ohm output, might have to get a mesa cab.

It sounds ok but maybe you need to turn up the treble and vol 1 = more gain
 
And for the softest attack Mark ever made, the VII.


..and unboosted. IOW "normal" C+ high gain.

C+ vs Mark Five 35, which is my favorite tonally of all the Fives.


C+ vs V 90, just a darker amp. Big balls though.
