When I had my Uberschall I also had the uberkab .
I did not like the gt75 v30 combo.
I still have the cab just haven't changed the speakers.
I also have a bogner cab that came with my ecstacy it is all v30's it sounded better with that cab IMHO.
That actually started a cab speaker mix rabbit...
So I have a 97 101b I bought used in 97 or 98 ?
It was my first real high end tube amp.
I would call it the Swiss army knife of amps.
It will do most anything.
I love the tone. I'm not a boost guy .
I just use the amps gain.
I had an ubershall as well can't remember blue or green ?
It did metal...
Gary more was the man!
On the strat anniversary jam he blew everyone away with his redhouse rendition.
Way underrated had incredible vibrato.
R.I.P.

So ceiling tiles have a broad range.
Thickness and the figures matter as well as density.
Either Armstrong as mentioned, usg or gp has them call an acoustical/ drywall supply yard and they can help.
The cost goes up as the sound deadening does.
Personally I believe different speakers react differently with different amps.
Not all speakers work great on all amps.
I do not care for gt75 but with my Vai legacy head they sounded great to me.
But that is a dark Amp and I believe the gt75's made it liven up a bit.
As far as v30's go I have a...
I have one in a evh 1 x12.
I won it in 08 at a Lynch clinic.
I put it in my 1x12 so I could run any head with it.
I does clean real nice.
It will still do any type of music.
Of coarse I like many other speakers better.
It is 300 watts so it will take all the punishment that can be dished out...
Bubbastain made me a believer of the vtm years ago when I bought speakers off of him .
I still like my Bogners better, but they are way more expensive.
I feel for the money the vtm I'd hard to beat.
^^^
I disagree with you.
Too much gain only makes things muddy or sterile.
Touch sensitive amps sound so much more articulate.
Just because an Amp has more gain does not make it usable.
Rock on .
You might as well get a peavey triple x
The o.p. says Bogners are too soft for his needs ?
Either he has never had one or does not know how to dial one in ?
Henrik Danage uses a Bogner Helios and I would say it kills and has plenty of gain.
I own a Helios and an Ecstacy either will do what he is asking for.
The drawback on the Helios...
I have a strymon timeliness and it sounds great, but it is too much for my small brain.
I also have a Hardwire DL8 that I use .
I love the DL8 in modulation mode.
It was on sale years ago d
For 59.95.
