I have an incoming Uberschall Rev Blue. I have an 8-ohm Bogner 4x12 with G12H-75 Creambacks and a 16-ohm Bogner 4x12 with V30s. I'm not a huge fan of V30s these days. I was planning on getting a quad of G12M-65 Creambacks because they should sound great with my other amps. But what's everybody using with their Ubers?

I know the Ubercab has V30/G12T-75s, but I've never liked the G12T. I could put two of the G12M-65s in there and see how that goes. I know a lot of people mix Greenbacks with V30s with good results. But not sure about the M-65.

Cool to see you got one ! I use Uberkab so I’m no help .

I haven't tried many different speakers myself with the uber, but i imagine it's one of those amps that could work with multiple types and still sound great. Will come down to personal taste.

I use V30s with mine and am pretty happy but i'd like to try some others.

My guitarist pulls pretty good tone out of Mesa cabs with his Uberschall. The Bogner likes V30s.

Mesa cabs are the exception, I've found. Their V30s sound better than off-the-shelf V30s other companies use. Even Bogner. At least they used to. Not sure if Mesa still uses the same ones.

When I had my Uberschall I also had the uberkab .
I did not like the gt75 v30 combo.
I still have the cab just haven't changed the speakers.
I also have a bogner cab that came with my ecstacy it is all v30's it sounded better with that cab IMHO.
That actually started a cab speaker mix rabbit trail that never ended.
8 4x12 cabs , 4 2x12 and 1 1x12 all different speakers accept 2 0f the 2 x12 have 1 v30 and 1 75 w cream back.

I like the Uberkab with Uber and especially with my wizards . But those 75s don’t work with many heads . They have a weird grind to them

Just found this channel. Amazing speaker comparison videos. Not high-gain, but in this video I liked the V30 + G12M-65 Creamback and the V30 + G Ruby Alnco the most. The Ruby is actually pretty rad. Interesting voice.

This is a good one too. High gain this time. And again... I gravitate toward the Creambacks. So I guess I'll stick with those.

What's interesting is once it transitions to a new speaker, it sounds odd to my ears. But after two bars, I get used to the new sound and kinda like it. Then new speaker again, and again it sounds odd until I get used to the new sound. But the ones that sound less odd, initially, and I kinda like it at first and then reeeaaally like it after a few bars... Creambacks.

One more. I think these are 1) Fantastic speaker comparisons and 2) Just fantastic high-gain tones, period.

I have a Bogner 212 with v30 and a creamback. Everything I’ve plugged into it sounds really good.

I also had an avatar 212 with v30 and greenback and that sounded great as well.

Funny thing is, i can’t stand v30s by themselves, but throw in a creamback or greenback and it’s a great combination.

When I had an Uber, I really liked it through an old vintage hiwatt cab I had. Sounded great. I had a couple other cabs at the time, a Marshall and Mesa, and it sounded a LOT better using the hiwatt.

Creambacks are nice, just kind of depends what tone you want. More balanced or more sizzly. I got to play through some fane70s recently in a Fryette cab and definitely set on getting a cab with those. The alnico cream Celestion sounds incredible too.

Also, couldn’t help but notice the v30s you have are from 05. Might just be a crap batch. Unfortunate deal with some v30s being great and others sucking. I had some from 06 and they were just awful. Then I got some mid 90s ones and it doesn’t even sound at all similar.

Yeah there are a few versions of the V30. The Mesa ones are nice.

About a decade ago we had an ampfest here in KC. Bunch of really cool amps, but the one that took everybody's virginity was the Uber halfstack. It sounded so open and fierce it was crazy. We literally could not find a bad tone with that amp no matter where we set the knobs. Played several guitars through it and same result.

TlDr; V30/T75 uberkab works great with the Uber amp

These days, I'm really digging a mix of V30s (Mesa, preferably) with a G12H75 Creamback. Real solid combo for all kinds of styles. I mostly play metal, for what it's worth. Been meaning to try a Veteran 30 since John Suhr seems to really like that speaker these days.

Yeah, that’s currently what I’m running with my uberschall. Sounds incredible. I’d give a good set of v30s a try. Get rid of those ones you have. Glenn usually annoys the shit out of me, but this is a quality video here.

Interesting video. Yeah, the 2022 version (not the B version) sounded the best by far. Wish he had thrown a Mesa V30 in there too. Also, moving the mic a millimeter in any direction will change that high-end fizz he's talking about. So sure... each of those speakers probably does sound different. But you could also just move the mic a tiny bit to kill that fizz.

ETA:
That "fizz"... man I hear that with sooooo man speakers. I hate it. It drives me crazy. And I hear it in so many clips. That's why I love my Creambacks so much. I don't get any fizz.
