Sounded really close to me. I will say the Amp 1's really do sound good in person plugged into a 4x12. I have the first Amp 1 version and the Iridium version, and they work well for me in my hard rock quest.

I had one a few yrs ago and it looked killer but it was a tad heavy and the neck was like a baseball bat. You should try one out if at all possible before buying one. Maybe I should have kept mine and put another neck on it.

Check nut slots like some have said and make sure string is not getting hung up in it. Move strings out of the nut and then use a small drop of oil in the nut slots. Wipe off excess. Thats what Ive done for yrs with my LP's. But with LP's they are going to go out of tune every few songs or by...

Some kind of sunburst Teisco one pickup job with strings about a half inch off the neck. It was awful but it was all mine.

Two yrs ago paid 25 bucks for a used Dean acoustic/electric that plays better than most electrics and sounds good. Was given a new in box reissue tube screamer by someone at work who knew I played guitar. Paid 200 for a Kramer Baretta several yrs ago and still have it.

Like some of you I am pretty happy with what I got. I am finding as I get older that if I save for something and not use a credit card I usually get the gear I want most and never seem to want to sell it later. Although it is fun to scan over the classifieds and see whats for sale.
