They were footswitchable on the originals.

    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

100% right GJgo. I got a feeling Gibson rushed to slap this together for the profits and didn't think it through. Most buyers will be content with finally obtaining a "IIC+". Will it be close, sure. But not adding the +/++ to it = missed opportunity. The pilot light and EQ knobs are a tall...

    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

https://www.peachguitars.com/mesa-boogie-mark-iic-head.htm Looks like they already took down the page. From what I could see, the build will be using modern manufacturing. A couple of quick observations: 1) Looks like it will be using a newer PCB method of manufacturing 2) Choke is...

    Apparently there's a supposed rumour of a C+ reissue

@GJgo agree 100% with you. Perhaps they'll make a limited edition with the mod. Either way I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing what these reissues sound like. Gibson/Mesa will make a killing off of the IIC+ reissues. Dual rectifiers, maybe not so much.

    Apparently there's a supposed rumour of a C+ reissue

Love the Chrome Chassis Rectos. Wonder if they'll be making Triples too? I'd grab one for shits and giggles. Add it to the other 3 Rectos in the arsenal.

    Apparently there's a supposed rumour of a C+ reissue

@Mr. Chainsaw and @hellzington agree with you both. This seems out of alignment with what I've heard. If it were a limited run it would probably cost ~$5k+. The 2 Channel Dual Rectifier Reissue seems to back this limited run rumor. The mark up in production for a chrome chassis Rectifier...

    Rack is back

Tube guy here too. Have had every iteration of Fractal Audio's AxeFx and own quite a few higher-end amps. Was playing Fractal's for quite a few years, but then switched back to tube because I missed the "in the room" experience. They hit on an interesting niche for home players by adding the...

    Apparently there's a supposed rumour of a C+ reissue

I've owned both a Red Stripe and 2 No Stripes w/ 105pt's. They do sound different from each other. The No Stripes are a little more raw sounding and Rhythm 2 sounds more like a cranked Blackface. The Red Stripe out of the box sounds a little closer to a IIC+, but the top end was a little more...

    Apparently there's a supposed rumour of a C+ reissue

100% agree with @Tone Monster . I prefer the +/++ mod on all the IIC+, IIC's I've owned. They should come stock with it, for the amount of dough they'll probably charge for them.

    Mesa coliseum heads….

Haven’t tried a Coliseum, but any members have experience with a Mark Coliseum vs slaved Mark into a Strategy 400? Supposedly the 400 has a similar (not exact) power section.

Is Randall Smith no longer with Mesa?

Can't think of a person more deserving of that title than Mike. Just an all around good guy with a passion for the business. It'll be a sad and happy day when he decides to hang up his soldering iron. Hopefully Gibson realizes what made Mesa Boogie so successful and sticks to hiring good...

Is Randall Smith no longer with Mesa?

It wouldn't be too surprising if they released a Limited-Run IIC+ reissue ($$$). Perhaps one associated with an artist, but maybe not. Kind of like what they did with the King Snake. It's a Mark I with tweaks and different PCB layout/construction. As far as the IIC+ goes, the transformers...

    Fs/t Mesa JP-2C, sold

Schumacher makes their transformers in Mexico. Classic Tone made their transformers in the USA. A large majority of Boutique Amp Manufacturers used Classic Tone transformers. They were well known for their quality and price point. Unfortunately the pandmic caused Classic Tone to go out of...

New Shuguang tubes, anyone try them?

The new Shuguangs sound warmer, compared to the old square foil getters. I re-tubed my JP-2C with them. At $16 a tube, they're priced right.

    Recto Rev F vs G

@GJgo are the PT (190555) and OT (0160322) the same transformers in the IIB Coliseum?

    Recto Rev F vs G

This comment resonates with my experience. Between my 2 Duals (Rev E & F) and my Triple G-->C, I can throw a good boost in front of any of them and use a PEQ in the loop to slightly boost the overall preamp signal and bring out a little more of the frequencies I want with good results. As for...

    Recto Rev F vs G

I wouldn't put much stock in the whole F vs G debate. According to Mike B there weren't many changes between E, F and G. The Revisions which break from that are C & D due to the PCB. The Rev C mod is cool but isn't 100% to C specs & kills the clean channel. The earlier comment about...
