I have a feeling they’re gonna use the current mark transformer and change the channel switching from ldr’s over to relays and we’re gonna get a meh recreation. Or try to “fix” some of the issues w the original 2c and end up inadvertently making a mark 3.
That said I hope to god they offer a...
I drove around 5 hours round trip for my JMP half stack and around 8 hrs round trip for my mesa mark 3 half stack. Both were kinda holy grails at good prices. JMP was stock w matching cab and the mesa was a no stripe w a matching EV cab in white. I may have also driven 5 hours round trip for nos...
If you’re in Cleveland, maybe reach out to gutiar riot, they’re good dudes and might be able to do consignment or point you in the right direction.
I don’t need gear right now but I’d buy stuff from you just to spite GC lowballing people.
I’d also add… look for something brick. Houses with vynl siding leak an insane amount of sound. Your much better off with brick. 2nd, a house with newer windows is gonna be better. Old windows leak a ton of sound.
That being said it’s still probably going to be too loud. I’m a good 200 yards...
Maybe throw it in the freezer to shrink the metals. I would think as it thaws the outside would expand in size and the inside would stay shrunk. And allow it whatever’s in there to pass.
Outside of the economy being absulutley fucked, I think for a lot of people this is their “summer hobby time”. I don’t know about you guys but this time of year I like to do outdoor stuff since it’s light 16hours a day and warm out.
I think that slows sales down a fair bit, and disposable income...
1000pf, 2200pf, and 4700pf are my favorites depending on guitar, strats will rip your face off with a 4700. Kinda covers all bases and styles. For home volumes I like the 2200 and 4700 options with a les Paul, and 500-1000pf if your playing really loud.
I’d like to see everything get more affordable. I’d rather see a bunch of kids and young adults be able to buy the rig they want for a reasonable amount of money vs make a few grand off the stuff I own. Good luck getting any of your idols gear if your under 25 (or older). I think people forget...
I enjoy having hamstrings still attached to my body and a lower back that still works, so I do like casters. I like the mesa track lock system, kinda best of both worlds for those who like versatility.
The 5 stage stuff I’ve tried all sucks, 3-4 is the sweet spot. Definitely try it but I think with an slo type circuit it’s gonna be way too much gain in all the wrong places.
I would however recommend playing around with different values or cut out the cathode follower and do a 4 stage plate...
I had a set of EH EL34’s that were way out of spec, like 25% maybe more mismatch. Second best sounding set of tubes I ever had.
If they’re going in an amp with irreplaceable transformers I look for a 3(ish) Ma variance. If it’s a clone or something I can get trannies for I like some degree of...
Hermasson because they don’t sound like a Jose and he doesn't steal shit.
In all honesty though it’s whatever you like. In terms of versatility of options I’d have to give it to red plated.
Plumbing in general. Your either dealing with shit or constantly wet. If you fuck up it’s going to cost thousands to repair. Plus you always seem to have your neck craned at some weird angle for hours at a time. Il do everything that dosent involve shit.
Outside of that I’ll do everything else...
EVH 5150, I’ve played probably 3 of them at guitar store volumes. Everyone of them sounded horrific, worse than a boogie mark with no graphic EQ. Probably should buy one though.
